MARCH 14th 2007 (PART 4) Vikinga, Finland (at home).

Finally they sent me home from the hospital and some more tests were done and they found out that\ I have a serious nerv injury in my upper legs. Anyway I am going to recover and get back to normal.

Everybody seemed happy when I came home, especially my dog Ringo.

As I told before, my FRIEND BEN takes me to Kvevlax Missionsförsamling, a church 20 km north of Vasa. To be there I feel like being part of a family and I meet both new and old friends, for example Tapani who I have known since I was a kid.

Tapani and me around the coffee table\

Pastor Olle Rosenkvist is absolutely the best pastor I know, he even visited me several times at the hospital, and he is a great singer and musician.

Now thinking back and learn from mistake's caused by my self I feel safe being part of "the family". I would like to thank following friends and people for all support I got during my 33 days at the hospital:

> MARCH 10th 2007 (PART III)

> On Thursday march 8th I had a "brainscan", and nothing special was found, so I don't have to worry anymore.

> I am most worried about my legs if they are going to recover and when, but as I said before "one day at a time") At least I know I want to stand on my own legs on
> stage and when I get a chance to go fishing again.

> A new lifestyle and a new hairstyle

> Today we had celebrity visitors and politician Mia-Petra Kumpulainen-Natri visited our room and asked questions about the situation at the hospital today and we all said what we thought, too few doctors and too many patients.

> Mia-Petra and me speaking about the health care in Finland

> Thank GOD that I have recovered that much so I can eat again. Oatmeal in the morning and soup for lunch and dinner, hospital food is not really a gourmet meal, I am dreaming of a medium+ beefsteak with salad or a fresh baked pizza from Lombardi's, NYC.

> The best pizza on earth, from Lombardi's Americas 1st pizzeria in NYC

> Last night when I was on my way to the toilet I fell on the floor again, but my room mate Leif helped me up with two nurses, it takes three even if I lost 15 kg's during my stay here. I wont give up my artist name S.O.T.N. I have been praying hard to get my legs back and maybe the allergic reaction I got now,is a sign from GOD, nobody knows, until Jesus answeres all my questions and thoughts.

> Slept well last night and woke up today well rested and ate a sausage soup that was OK as they did not have oatmeal for breakfast today:-) Rushed again to enter my wheelchair but fell down on the floor again but this time I managed to stand up on my own legs! I can feel that I am getting better, all that bother me are my legs. When you are well and can use your body as you should be able too you don't think about how it feels being sick and not able to walk!

> me, Pastor Olle and Pastor Matz\

looks like Ben took this picture:-)

Today I have more energy ever since I got sick and I have to train the fingers and get back in shape with my guitar again after not being able to play for some weeks and some new songs are growing. Wait and see a new solo album is under work, but when it is ready is a big (?) question mark.

> At least I have my FGW Les Paul JR with me and been training hard so my fingers are bleeding and most important is that I get my coordination back between my hands and what is left of my poor brain.

February 26th I felt down and got both depressed and homesick:-(

I prayed to GOD for "speedy recovery" and the next morning the first I heard was "YOU`RE GOING HOME TODAY"! GOD heard my prayers, once again!

The owner of Vaasa Music Shop, my buddy Heikki Joensuu picked me up the same day and took me to my sweet home, thank you Heikki!

Being at home was wonderful, even if my kids mess around all the time. After 10 days at the hospital it was an amazing feeling sleeping in my own bed with my own wife.

You could still see the yellow color in my face-

I had a great time at home until my legs did not carry me anymore and I fell outside our house. I had to sleep downstairs so I easily could get up on the toilet and kitchen. The same night Thursday 1:the the pain in my legs got so bad so when I had to enter the cab I fell down on the ground again, and I felt both sad and worried. So in other worlds I am now back at the hospital. For how long only GOD can tell. Day by day with lots of water fruit, therapy............. I will recover and continue rocking as before, but not with the same tempo and time.

Back at the hospital\

During this visit I have had lots of visitors, too many to name here. Thank Ya'll for coming. On Monday my best friend Ben who have saved my life picked me up and together we drove to "mega cell" meeting in Kvevlax Missionskyrka, a very nice and peaceful place even if I had gas problems this night.

My friends Markus and Ben

The evening started with coffee and tea with different sandwiches and snacks and all who wanted had their chance to stand up and share.

After coffee we sang and listened to music, until Olle Rosenkvist started his speech, OH that man CAN speak and he is also very gentle indeed.\

I was surprised over Henna's charisma playing the violin, what passion.

Olle in action

For all of you who don't know there are millions of records with Christian songs. I don't think the style of music is the biggest factor, it is more the message behind the lyrics. The music can be everything from classic, country & western, rock'n roll and even heavy metal.

These girls did sing well but no heavy metal -:)

Now its time for me to continue my recovery here at the hospital and hope I will be better soon.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Pontus J. Back´s hospital blog

A while ago, weeks after quitting both drinking and smoking (something I´ve done for years) my friend John J. Kulju visited me at home. At this point I had had a very heavy flu for 2 weeks. He looked at me and asked me if it is normal to have such yellow eyes and looked worried and asked if I had seen a doctor.
My answer was: yes, and that was a LIE, EVEN if I been a Christian for a while now. I DID speak to the doc. on the phone:) BUT A LIE IS ALWAYS A LIE. I asked different people with such experiences and they said that it´s all about quitting drinking, so I let it go and thought I lived a normal life. This I did until I got all yellow, swollen and it was itching all over my body.

This Saturday night I spent at home together with my wife Hannele and my four kids. Later the same night around 1:00 PM I felt so bad so I made my decision to go to the local hospital (where I am right now). They laid it on the line and said "IT IS NOT NORMAL TO BE THAT YELLOW". They took lots of blood tests and I had to sleep over at the emergency room and wait for the tragical answers, all numbers where WAY TOO HIGH. My kidneys did hardly not work and my liver numbers were all too high. These bad news I got the following morning. Lots of people within my "friend hood", both Christian and non Christian friends heard the bad news and visited me at the hospital from the beginning and here I have met lots of new Christian friends:-) also I have had good luck with my room mates all three from a place called Närpes, south of Vasa.

Today it is two weeks since I got here and I have been treated by Special Dr. Christian Nielse´n and we have gone forward slowly but safe, thanks Christian, my favorite doc. Also I am in good hands with the gentle nurses and with Jesus. THE SHIP IS NOT SINKING, IT IS JUST STRANDED RIGHT NOW like RG - Line :-) I am NOT leaving the music business, so you all will see me Rocki´n AGAIN. Day by day and I will get my body the chance to recover, it that's my biggest motivation together with reading the Holy Bible among with other books & mag's.

February 24th was a special day in my treatment here at the hospital. For the firs time here I was able to walk outside without having Ben or my wife pushing the wheelchair in the white beautiful snow. Jesus sent me a message: "- get off that chair and use your own legs, even If you push the wheelchair in front of you as
support".

I took his advice and walked 500 meters outside (5466,8 yards), today I ´m going to do it again and my goal is AT LEAST 750 meters ( 820,2 yards). These are not long distances but after two weeks in bed with HEAVY PAIN, I have to say: LISTEN AN ANALYZE WHAT JESUS HAS TO SAY, HE IS RIGHT!
